The International Launch of Capabilities at Work

We are looking forward to the international launch of Capabilities at Work: The Added Value of the Capability Model for Well-Being and Work on 23 September 2026.

More than a book launch, this is an invitation to think together. The programme brings together contributors and colleagues from different countries to reflect on how the capability approach can help us think differently about work, well-being, and what people have reason to value. Rather than asking only what people produce or possess, the capability approach asks what they are genuinely able to be and to do — a shift that has far-reaching implications for how we understand meaningful work and a flourishing life.

Over the course of the morning, our contributors will share the ideas at the heart of the book and open up a wider conversation about its added value for research, policy, and practice.
